Every time when I need an inspiration or feel like I need to relax, I go to one of my favorite places in Baku - "Icheri Sheher" (Old City). This is a place where you can walk for hours and every time find new great ideas and themes for photography. I went there with Elmar Mustafazadeh. This time I tried to concentrate myself on colors and textures of old doors and walls of the Old City, every piece of which has its own history.
Elmar has some great photos from that day too, so make sure you also visit his blog.

Love the colors and textures of walls and doors. The cracked blue wall reminded me a map of ocean and islands.

Elmar and I were experimenting with the exposure and this photo was something like a test shot, but while editing the whole set I decided to convert it to b/w and... here is Elmar's portrait!

Your mind equipped with 50mm lens converts ordinary things into magic!
